AldC
AldC consists of a C8-Alkyn motif, which can be used to incorporate an active alkyne moiety internally, as well as at the 5’- or 3’-terminus of an oligonucleotide. A spacer arm of 8 Carbon atoms separates the alkyne group from the oligonucleotide, thereby reducing steric interactions between the reactive group and the oligo itself. In this context, multiple sites within the oligo can be labelled by “clicking” a variety of azide-containing labels/tags to different alkyne groups. To learn more about click-chemistry, click here.
