Alrol

Alrol allows the addition of an Alkyne group via a serinol-linker to the 3´ OH of the 3´ nucleoside (3´OH-blocking). As such, it can be used to incorporate an active alkyne at the 3’-end of an oligonucleotide. A spacer arm of 11 Carbon atoms separates the alkyne group from the oligonucleotide, thereby reducing steric interactions between the reactive group and the oligo itself. In this context, multiple sites within the oligo can be labelled by clicking a variety of azide-containing labels/tags to different Alkyn groups. To learn more about click-chemistry, click here.
